Setting up Bet Angel

Connection modes

If you log into Bet Angel using its connection modes you can change the way Bet Angel communicates with Betfair. This can be helpful as a back up or when there are problems with the Betfair site. Different connection modes exhibit different characteristics and features, so make sure you are familiar with that before using them. Connection mode 0 is the default mode, connection mode one is non API mode.

Practice mode

If you log into Bet Angel using practice mode you can play with all features on Bet Angel without the risk of losing money. This allows you to experiment with all the features, settings or any trading styles without risk. You can also link spreadsheets up and create and test fully automated strategies in the practice mode.

Custom settings

Depending on what you are trying to do and how you are trying to trade you may want to set up differnet settings for the charts, communciations and other settings. Bet Angel's custom settings tool allows you to create and save custom settings profiles and recall them in an instant.

Getting the best connection

Bet Angel provides a 'raw' feed to Betfair's servers. This ensures you have the most accurate and reliable communictiion and data from Betfair. Bet Angel also allows you to fine tune a number of different aspects of this connection to Betfair.

There are many functions and options in Bet Angel. Therefore we allow you to set up the screen however you wish and save that setup under an unlimited number of screen profiles. This means you can easily switch between setups and tailor Bet Angel to look exactly how you wish.
